Therapy Dog Training

To see if your dog is a good fit for therapy work, they must be polite, calm, well-tempered, and non-reactive or aggressive. These are the key traits the trainer will look for during the $50 temperament test. If your dog qualifies, therapy dog training is $85 per session. Training includes advanced obedience, learning to stay calm in busy pet-friendly environments, and how to interact gently and confidently with the people they’ll be helping. Over 8 to 12 months of consistent training, you and your dog will grow as a team and be ready to make a positive impact as a certified therapy dog team.
